Museum of Life and Science

Yesterday we had a fun family day.  We took the boys to the Museum of Life and Science in Durham.  So so much to do there. We will definetely take the boys again.

Andrew's favorite exhibit was the butterfly house. He was sad that he couldn't catch a butterfly though.  He said he wants a butterfly net next time.  Maybe we'll get him something fun like that for his birthday.

Nathan loves everything computer related.  They have lots of computers set up by the exhibits.  He tried out all of them.  He was not too crazy about the butterflies.

Daddy LOVED the bug exhibit....especially the cockroaches.  HaHa.  Actually, Mike loved the bears.  And no exaggeration, these bears were maybe 3 feet from us.

And I just loved spending time with my boys and taking lots of photos.  :)

Yeah! Tomorrow is Friday!

I am ready for some downtime. I am ready for some "hang with my boys" time. I am ready to continue enjoying this amazing wonderful 80 degree weather!!!!!  This is what I love about NC.  Spring here is just perfect!!!  Fall is great here too.  ;)

Donna Downey class

So this past weekend, my friend Cindy came down from VA to go to a Donna Downey "Work of Art" class.  I scrap.  I do not consider myself to be artsy, so this was not a class in my comfort zone.  But I did have fun.  And I do like how my canvas turned out (I still need to take a picture of the final canvas).

After the class, we stayed at the Paper Playground and scrapped and chatted.  Then went home and we stayed up way late chatting.  It was some wonderful girl time that I so needed.

Now, I can't wait until this summer when Sara comes down and we all 3 get to spend time together.  Well, I reckon it will be 4 of us since Cindy will have a new sweet baby girl by then.

Happy Easter!

Andrew got a little over-excited Easter morning. He came yelling into our room "The Easter bunny came!!!!"  Mike and I just laughed!  Andrew got the big basket with the sports balls in it and jelly beans. Nathan got a Kinex toy set and some of his favorite candy. They each also got a stuffed bunny.

But Nathan was a little distracted and not quite as interested in the Easter bunny stuff because he was playing his "new" game he bought with his Easter money from Grandpa and Granny Janice.

After church, we went to Grammie's house. The Easter Bunny had made a stop at her house and hid eggs so the boys got to have another Easter Egg hunt.

Very Busy Time of Year

We have been very busy with church activities lately.   The handbell choir I play in has been very active with a festival and special performances.  Last Sunday, we had our Easter Cantata at church; Mike sang a solo and I played the clarinet.  Lots and lots of rehearsing.

And beautiful warm weather also means lots of outdoor time with the boys.

We also joined a gym.  It has a great children's program and has an indoor and outdoor pool.  I am in the middle of a Couch Potatoe to 5K in 2 months program. So energizing!
